Arta Gallery invites you to experience another exciting art show on Saturday, October 5 from 7pm to 2am, a unique collection of video installations and performance artists for Nuit Blanche.
Located in the West end of the Distillery District, Arta Gallery is pleased to present our 2013 artists, who are bringing a new and exciting edge to this year’s show. From light installations presented by Sassan Nassiri, which envelope an old rusting truck outside the doors, to live performances and video installations within the gallery, the evening will be filled with unique and intriguing pieces. Tatiana Jennings returns with a live performance reflecting her talent in theatrical presentations. Semco Salehi’s projection on the gallery walls begs the observer to question thoughts of cultural difference and similarity. Thom Sokoloski visits the portrayal of the human psyche, and re-interprets iconographic photography of human behavior and how the body translates inner emotion and experiences. Lastly, Mason Mummery and Ulla Laidlaw completes our exhibit with videos installation, which adds to the digital environment which Nassiri, Salehi and Sokolski also work within for this one exciting evening, and which ultimately shapes the theme of Nuit Blanche.
