Opening Reception: May 3rd 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Arta Gallery presents a collection of unique photographic mediums all surrounding the theme of individual perspective. ‘Lookout Into My World’, Arta Gallery’s CONTACT exhibition, features eight distinguished and emerging photographers, Bob Carnie, Matthew Plexman, Blake Chorley, Marie Heintzman, Steve Levinson, James Kitchens, Walker Kitchens and Colin Corneau. Each artist encapsulates the many unique and colourful ways to capture one’s own individual worldview through their own lens. As each of us learn to look and experience the world from a different perspective, we try to customize our world, city and home and put it on the world map. Photographers can focus on what the world looks like in objects, urban settings, and landscapes, however even the same shot can produce a different perspective. The collection of series range from our Canadian West and East Coast landscapes, to wildlife shots in Africa, to religious environments and markets in India, and urban life in China. The unique and contrasting colour and styles of each photograph bring our gallery to life in a different way than most see Arta throughout the year, as we operate as a painting and sculpture gallery foremost. Please join us for this unique photographic show this coming May.
