Momo Simic
Momo Simic was born and raised in Sokolac, a small town in the Republic of Srpska. The happy, playful childhood he had is the source of the motivation and emotions behind his landscapes. The two distant worlds (Sokolac and Canada) are connected in his art through the universal language of images.
Momo Simic has been working and exhibiting through solo and group shows in many art organizations. The artist is always looking for beauty in the visual world, in and around us, its complexity, meanings, and mysteries. He wants to find it, share it, and emphasize it. He doesn’t romanticize or idealize, but understands and believes that the power of true beauty can only make us better and bring us closer to each other.
