HOPPER, 9" x 18" x 5"

$575 CAD

Made from Car Parts & a Teapot

From recycled shovels and auto parts emerges this portrait of HOPPER, an anthropomorphic insect mask. Hopper’s rusted weather-beaten exterior is urban and post-industrial. The anthropomorphic eyes add colour and mystery being more human than insect. HOPPER started from joining two shovels together to create an oval. The half shovel handles became antennae and the rest just followed though Hopper’s first iteration was without the white eyes, Jeff knew something was missing and added them later. HOPPER  is a rust patinaed wall sculpture made from recycled metal.
