SILENCE AND IMAGE - September 22 - October 12, 2006
Erika Bampfer Deery
Opening Reception: Saturday, September 23, 5-7pm
The eye of the artist, the inner vision, an ancient eye, entering mystery and letting it speak its depth, connects to deep universal experiences. To me, when a sense of intuition meets the silence of the paper, it is, as if by moving over that stillness, the brush and paint attempt to capture what I can only describe as a vibrancy of being alive. The enigma of aesthetics, I do believe, speaks not of perfection, but of treasuring life.
