NUIT BLANCHE 2010 - HOMAGE TO GUERNICA - October 2 - 3, 2010

Produced by Scotiabank Nuit Blanche - Independent Projects

Anahita Azrahimi - Concept & Visuals
Soheil Parsa - Performance Director

Guernica has become an icon for reconciliation and the hope for world peace. Inspired by Picasso’s iconic painting and the world’s most influential images of war, this installation will engulf the viewer in a collage of imagery, performance and layered live video feed of performers. The viewers will immerse themselves in convergent memories and realities, remembering the destruction of wars and honoring our innate ability for compassion. History keeps repeating itself and the force of war seems to move from one part of the globe to the other. Yet, with each conflict we strive harder to reach harmony.
