Gooderham Building aka the Flatiron Building aka the Coffin Block Building
Did you know that Gooderham building at Front and Church intersection, is one of the most iconic buildings in Toronto?
The old building was called the Coffin Block Building which was shorter but in the same shape. The current building was designed by David Roberts Jr. for distiller George Gooderham Sr., son of the Gooderham and Worts distillery’s founder, William Gooderham. The building served as the office of the Gooderham and Worts distillery, currently Distillery District.
