Leyla Kashani is the Iranian artist behind her eponymous clothing, jewelry and accessories brand. Leyla was born in Iran and studied fashion in both France and Canada. She divides her time between her Toronto studio and the brand atelier in Tehran.

Throughout her many years of travel and fashion industry experience, Leyla built a passion for repurposing antique textiles and accessories. After observing ancient Iranian craft techniques fading into obscurity amongst the trends of mass production. Leyla decided to use her design skills to bring new life to culturally significant art forms. Her brand journey began by showcasing her wearable art creations across Toronto. These fashion installations developed into the LEYLA KASHANI brand today.

By respecting the cultural heritage of remote areas in Iran and creating personal connections with the local artisans that embroider her creations, Leyla has become a circularity and slow fashion ambassador.

In 2021, Leyla Kashani brand was celebrated as one of the three sustainable brans from Iran by Fashion Revolution UK.
