Collection: Jonathan Houghton

Growing up in Thornbury, Ontario, Jonathan Houghton began his formal visual art studies at New Brunswick’s Mount Allison University, where he studied Drawing and Painting. Houghton later attended Toronto’s Ontario College of Art and Design and the Aegean Center for Fine Arts in Greece, where he studied classical painting styles. Houghton’s oil-based landscapes are notable for their bright colours and sharp, clean lines. His work has an accessibility and impressive candor that embodies the en plein air painting style. Houghton has painted in many diverse Canadian locations.
