Collection: Farah Abolghasem

Farah Abolghasem started her professional career through an exhibition at Seyhoun gallery after having graduated with a degree in fine arts in the year 1988. Afterwards, alongside painting, she went on to teach drawing at private institutions and Azad University for a few years until she decided to devote all her time to creating art. She experimented with different mediums, such as papier-mâché, working with copper and silver, making sculptures and jewelries with silver, wood, and glass, as well as installations with light and music. Still, she would constantly favor painting above all.

In the year 2000 Farah was chosen for the international painting competition, organized by Windsor and Newton Company, and in the year 2002 she spent a year in Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, during which she won first prize
from the 5th arrondissement of Paris, and had two solo and two group exhibitions. Throughout her career, she’s had exhibitions in France, China, Canada, United States of America, England, Sweden, Belgium, Dubai, Oman, and Switzerland. She has had more than 10 solo exhibitions and 50 group exhibitions and some of her works are at Tehran’s Contemporary Art Museum, Imam Ali Museum, Passargad Bank Museum, and Windsor and Newton’s Museum. She has also participated in Tehran’s art auction twice.
