Photography is synonymous with memory and history. But what exactly is the nature of this relationship? Photography can replace memories in order to create and preserve moments in life. Therefore photography becomes something that is touched, whether in reality or the viewer's imagination, and helps drag its perception into the immediacy of the present. Such use raises questions about the differences between memory and photographs in retrieving the past and acting as momento mori.
