A Visual Retrospective of Canadian Choreographer, Lucy Rupert

Arta Gallery presents the riveting figurative expressionism of Canadian visual artist, Monika Berenyi. In these enchanting new works, she celebrates the spirit and oeuvre of renowned Canadian choreographer and dancer, Lucy Rupert. Through the lens of an image projector, she captures a visual memoir of emotion, observation, and sensation, exercising the elasticity and subtlety of chalk pastel Her unique exposé of consciousness, individual memory, and elapsed time finds relevance in the present with Rupert’s latest work, ‘11 x Forgetting’, a concurrent production at Dancemakers Centre for Creation, the Distillery.
