The largest swans in the world mingle with humans at a Toronto boat ramp. Trumpeter Swans were once considered nearly extinct, with fewer than 70 known birds left in the wild. After a hunting ban and rigorous breeding programs throughout North America, the Trumpeter Swan has made a significant comeback. Today their population numbers are monitored by researchers and volunteers who attach large yellow ID tags to the swans' wings.
