Sage Szkabarnicki-Stuart
Sage Szkabarnicki-Stuart's work to date is mostly self-portraiture that searches for meaning in the mundanity of daily life. A hermit by nature, Sage struggled with making human relationships, which is why she turned to herself and animals as subjects for her photographs. Sage enjoys working alone, bringing ambitious ideas to life with whatever materials she can scrounge from her apartment and out of street gutters and alleyways. The end result is a series of short fairytales that are influenced and informed by the experiences of being a young adult in the present day.
