Aydin Aghdashloo is truly an Original. As an Artist, Thinker and Human being he represents rich and vibrant culture of the civilization that is perhaps not fully understood and appreciated. With thousands of years of history expanding well beyond ours this region of the world produced many great minds that influenced various civilizations.
Aghdashloo is one of those minds - his influence can be seen not only in Tehran, where he works as an Artist, teacher and mentor, but even here in North America where celebrities like Shohreh Aghdashloo - an Oscar R nominated actress can trace her influence to Aydin's presence in her live in 70-ties. His childhood friend Abbas Kiarostami a Palme d'Or, Cannes Festival winner is just another example.
The pieces that comprise Aydin Unlimited was assembled to celebrate the artist 66 birthday and to share this important and historically significant collection with Canadians.
