Art has always been my passion. As a little girl I took every art class available. My High School teacher first introduced me to painting and creating clay sculptures. I fell in love with it and in the next couple of years had painting and clay sculptures in art shows. I studied Graphic Design at Algonquin College, learning about the elements and design of art. I learned Life Drawing at St. Lawrence College as well as other painting classes.
Despite my catastrophic car accident in 2005, I did not give up on my passion. I re-learned the principles I once knew. Since then, I have been applying them to my works.
Because of my efforts and perseverance, I was invited to display my art in the Biennale Internazionale Dell’ Arte Contemporanea, Florence, Italy, in 2011. Was asked to display my work in ARTA Gallery, 14 Distillery Lane, Toronto, Ontario, in 1016. Was accepted in the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, 2016. I was juried into the Ottawa Art Expofor 3 years, and in Ottawa’s La Petite Mort Gallery for 1 year. I have been in outdoor shows such as Ottawa New Art Festival, Stewart Park Music Festival, Art in Strathcona Park in Ottawa plus more. I have had several Vernissages over the years. Presently my art is in the Gallery on Gore in Perth in Eastern Ontario.
Have taught art in various mediums offering certificates for 19 years. I find teaching very rewarding and I especially enjoy watching the progression of one's craft.
In March 2012, I received an Honorable Mention in the Marianne Van Silfhout Art Gallery at St Lawrence College, for the painting ‘Shield’. Mention in the Bloor News of A Golden Glow to the Light of Day Exhibit located in Toronto’s Distillery District in 2016, my art was also used for promotional purposes for the exhibit with Arta Gallery, In September 2014 I had my work displayed in the Splurge Magazine regarding the gallery Organic Conception, Along with numerous newspaper appearances.
